KING`S ON ROAD TO HAYDOCK King`s Road has been given the go-ahead to run in Saturday`s #42,000 Tommy Whittle Chase at Haydock, it was revealed today. The Hennessy Cognac Gold Cup winner will be ridden by Jamie Goldstein, who partnered the gelding to victory at Newbury. Trainer Nigel Twiston-Davies said today: 'A decision has been made and he will run if it is on. 'He is in top form and Jamie Goldstein will ride.' King`s Road is Ladbrokes` 9-2 favourite for the Coral Eurobet Welsh National at Chepstow later this month but Twiston-Davies will wait until after Saturday before making further plans. 'We`ll play it by ear and see what happens on Saturday,' he said.
